New Power Connections in WA – What You Need to Know
Building a new home? Here’s how to get your power connected:

Step 1 – Check for the Green Dome:
Is there a green dome (Western Power pillar) on your property? If not, you’ll need to apply for one through Western Power. This process can take up to 12 months—so apply early. -
Step 2 – Set Up Your Power Account:
Apply for a permanent electricity account with Synergy. Once completed, you’ll receive a P300 number. Provide this to your electrical contractor. -
Step 3 – Electrical Installation and Meter Setup:
Your electrical contractor will install the pole, meter panel, and internal PowerPoints. If they’re Western Power accredited (like us), they can also install the meter directly. This makes the process faster and more convenient.
